Pantomime

As the night approaches He shudders with his skin crawling He awaits his nightly affair Lying still, it swallows him Leaving him crying silent screams On rising up, he learns its scheme Feels his breath slip out of his soul He is no longer in control It's mine to take Run, you can try This is your chance to rectify Personify your alibi You can't hide From who you are inside He lives in a space between the worlds Losing touch he now lies curled His breath sings shaky Lips shut sealed Paralysed, his fears revealed Let me run the show The mirror now concedes Reflections no longer seen Moulting into this creature of darkness He now lies disfigured and lifeless Run, you can try This is your time to perish and die Go find a corner and write your goodbyes You can't hide From he who lies inside Restless mind with screaming thoughts Reside inside his frozen clot Alienated life's passing by In a state of woken slumber he lies He's now built a fortress of mirrors (Carnival mirror) A palace of lies He enjoys his company He enjoys his company Here we have come to the end of my show Curtain falls and calls them all Names his mirrored walls Don't be appalled He's unaware he stands alone Now I made one more whose strings I tore A broken puppets face he wore Until the next one walks in with a dime I close the doors to my pantomime
